  • Working in partnership with many state agencies and regional groups, the MEDC promotes job creation and economic growth by collaborating on programs, projects and incentives. Industry experts and the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) in partnership with the MEDC designed high-quality, focused services. They include one-on-one interaction between the industry experts and the applicants enhanced with MEDC follow-up.

    Companies wishing to diversify will be guided by their MEDC Business Development Manager (BDM) to access many programs, projects and incentives, such as:
    • NextEnergy: It provides alternative energy and renewable energy-focused workshops focused on market research, organizational team training, and custom business development training.
    • Michigan Aerospace Manufacturers Association (MAMA): A training group that provides overview of the industry, marketing techniques, regulatory and advanced training, and preparation for new aerospace market access. MAMA also offer AS-9100 certification.
    • Michigan Defense Center (formerly known as the Defense Contract Coordination Center or DC3) in partnership with the Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACS): Locates and matches defense contract opportunities with qualified suppliers, as well as supporting regional Procurement Technical Assistance Centers. The Defense Center trains on facility security and compliance, demystifying government packaging, defense strategy business planning, and more.
    • CJPS: Specializes in growth strategies for companies wishing to make medical devices, ranging from leveraging new technologies and financing options to optimizing manufacturing and marketing campaigns.
    • Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC): Offers a menu-driven program with training, implementation, and mentor modules that can be packaged in a variety of combinations.
