Growth Industries
Homeland Security and Defense
There is a growing need for qualified defense contractors who can provide quality goods and services for the United States Department of Defense (DoD). The DC3 (Defense Contract Coordination Center) strategically connects defense industry buyers with capable Michigan businesses.
The DC3’s Defense Capabilities Directory is an online solution for defense industry buyers seeking to fill difficult supply chains. The Michigan manufacturers listed in this Web-based search engine are pre-screened for qualifications and government contracting readiness. These companies are capable and well qualified to help defense industry buyers meet their supply chain needs, resolve obsolescence issues, and fulfill their small business requirements.
Department of Defense and defense prime contractors can obtain access to the Defense Capabilities Directory by clicking here to request a login. (Access is free and available only to defense industry buyers.) If you have an urgent supply chain need, please email DC3@michigan.org or call 800.946.6829. We will connect you with our capture team, which stands ready to assist.
Michigan companies can access the DC3 at DC3@michigan.org or by calling 800.946.6829. The DC3 is dedicated to strategically connecting defense industry buyers and prime contractors with Michigan-based businesses like yours.
Leading the DC3 is U.S. Marine Corps Colonel James Braden (ret.). Under COL Braden, the DC3 is leveraging Michigan’s manufacturing and engineering expertise in high-tech sectors, such as robotics and homeland security, where the state may have a competitive advantage.
Prior to joining the DC3, COL Braden was Project Manager for the Robotic Systems Joint Project Office located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan. He has over 28 years of service as a Marine Corps aviator and held numerous command and staff positions including Squadron Commander during Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
