U.S. Small Business Administration Provides Relief for Eligible Michigan Businesses Impacted by Excessive Rain and Flooding

Loans provided to help those needing assistance due to severe weather in their region

LANSING, Mich. – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is making Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million available to eligible small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, and nonprofits impacted by excessive rain and flooding that occurred between August 16, 2020 and September 9, 2020. 

Loans are available in Huron, Sanilac, and Tuscola counties. 

“This support will provide small businesses in Huron, Sanilac and Tuscola counties with critical resources and federal assistance to address hardship caused by this severe weather in the region,” said Josh Hundt, Chief Business Development Officer and Executive Vice President at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at https://disasterloan.sba.gov. Applicants should apply under SBA declaration #16804. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information.  Applications are due to SBA no later than August 2, 2021
